Bikes and other wheels on campus

Students are required to walk their bikes to the bike racks upon arriving on campus. In the afternoon, students should walk their bikes to the edge of campus before starting to ride. These same rules apply to all wheeled vehicles such as scooters, Ripstiks, skateboards and skates. An important reminder to all parents new to the area that helmets are required to be worn by any child under age 18 when riding a bicycle in California.

Wheels attached to shoes (Heelys) are not permitted at school. We have steps all over this campus making these shoes dangerous. A child can wear the shoes if the wheels are removed.

After 4:00pm (when enrichment classes are over and our school office is closed) or on weekends or school vacations, parents take responsibility for allowing their child to ride wheeled vehicles or wear shoes with wheels around the school grounds.
