There was a massive garage sale in the Nixon Theater on Saturday, January 30th. Some classrooms collected pennies for the Pennies for Haiti Jar. Mrs. Manou’s class helped bring the idea to fruition and many of B2 students helped with pricing, organizing, and making signs.

In total we raised $5,000 for Operation Rainbow. Eighty percent of the total was in small garage sale purchases and small donations. The Pennies for Haiti Jar added up to a whopping $161.04! We also got a promise of thousands of dollars worth of sterile surplus medical supplies from a local group who heard about the fundraiser.
